Travel the World During Lockdown

COVID-19 has become a pandemic and is spreading all over the world. We all need to do our part to stop the spread of the virus. Travel has to come to an end for a while, but there still are free ways to see the world from the comfort (and safety!) of your own home.

All information is correct as of March 19th, 2020 and can be subject to change at any time. For the online performances, dates in parentheses indicate original date of performance.


Paris Opera

Starting from March 17th, the Paris Opera will be putting performances online for viewers to watch for a period of 6 days, free of charge. The performances are as follows:

  • March 17 – 22: Manon (2020)

  • March 30 – April 5: Swan Lake (2019)
  • April 6 – 12: The Barber of Seville (2014)
  • April 13 – 19: Tribute to Jerome Robbins (2018)

  • April 27 – May 3: Carmen (2017)
  • March 17 – May 3: Cycle of Tchaikovsky‘s six symphonies played by the Orchestra of the Paris National Opera

The Met Opera

The Met offers online videos of past performances, with a new show viewing every night at 7:30 PM EDT and will be available online for 20 hours following the premiere.
