Haifa Eats

Haifa has a wide variety of cuisines, there’s something for everyone!
Anywhere in the city you can find something that’ll please your taste buds. For such a small city, the hot spots are constantly changing and new restaurants are popping up every week. Here’s some of my favorites:

Libira Brewpub

My favorite restaurant to recommend. Great food, great drinks, great atmosphere, great people.

Cafe Brussels

A cozy place to grab brunch with a friend, or sit down with a cup of coffee and get some work done.

Biga Horev

Just for this dulce de leche cake alone it’s a must go.

Iza Bar

I couldn’t not include this on the list, since it’s the go to dive bar in everyone’s book in Haifa. Prices are super reasonable and the food is perfect for a night out.

If you want to take a short trip outside the city for a change of scenery, head out to Daliyat al-Karmel. This Druze village is great for wandering around, doing some shopping and eating delicious food. If you want some authentic hummus you need to go to a small village. Doesn’t matter which one, they’re all amazing. Many of the restaurants will serve you a small glass of Arabic coffee and maybe a slice of baklava for dessert. Don’t be fooled by the size. That tiny cup packs a punch!

Take a stroll along the main road and you’ll have your pick of several delectable Middle Eastern restaurants and bakeries with irresistible aromas. If you want authentic, this is the place to go.
